Position Summary

The primary role of the Regional Sales Manager for Motive Power is to expand business within current accounts while overseeing our exclusive Guaranteed POWER program. Additionally, this position entails acquiring new business within the material handling sector. We seek an individual with a strong background in sales and project management who can operate independently and foster robust, long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a profitable customer base while achieving sales and profit targets.
  • Stay informed about the evolving industry landscape and market strategies, managing key end-user and reseller relationships effectively.
  • Focus on selling both new and used equipment, service programs, and maintenance contracts within existing and new accounts.
  • Employ a solutions-based selling approach, acting as a consultant to clients rather than merely a sales representative.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to implement service solutions, ensuring clear communication.
  • Utilize the provided playbook, receiving training and market strategies to guide your efforts.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail, managing quotes and sales funnels within Concentric's CRM.
  • Provide market feedback to the procurement team regarding competitors' pricing and offerings.
  • Conduct site visits at industrial facilities while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Exhibit a strong customer service orientation.
  • Submit timely sales and expense reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Performance Metrics:

  • Product and service margins.
  • Quarterly and annual sales revenue.
  • Gross profit metrics.
  • Sales expenses and annual growth trends.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial sales.
  • Familiarity with industrial battery products and services is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record as a successful lead generator.
  • Demonstrated history of sales excellence and consistent top performance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to a growing and evolving company.
  • Exposure to sales training and personal development programs.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, though extensive experience may compensate for the lack of a degree.
  • Military experience is considered a plus.
  • Ability to learn new software, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
  • Capability to present company offerings in diverse settings, from corporate boardrooms to operational floors.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands for typing and handling materials, and communicate effectively. The role may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in customer facilities, Concentric offices, and various locations, with moderate to heavy noise levels requiring hearing protection.
