Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our team as Vice President. This senior leadership role involves active participation in the organization's daily operations, supporting the executive team in various capacities. The Vice President will play a crucial role in resource mobilization and in fostering relationships with partners, donors, and community networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with the leadership and executive teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
  2. Design and execute fundraising strategies and events, with direct involvement in fundraising initiatives.
  3. Inspire and mentor a diverse team of researchers, promoting a collaborative and innovative research culture.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, policymakers, and partners to enhance the organization's influence.
  5. Lead fundraising efforts in partnership with the development team to secure resources for research initiatives.
  6. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  7. Ensure compliance with financial, HR, and administrative processes in line with legal requirements.
  8. Manage institutional resources and budgets, providing financial updates to the executive team.
  9. Assist in preparing reports for the board of directors.
  10. Support the president in communicating organizational performance to the board.
  11. Provide assistance in recruitment for various roles as needed.
  12. Encourage collaboration across different units within the organization through regular communication.
  13. Perform additional relevant tasks as required.

  1. Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a policy research or non-profit environment.
  2. Strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire a diverse team.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Deep commitment to social justice and the role of information in fostering positive change.
  5. Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
