Vice President of Operations

The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is seeking a Vice President of Operations to partner with the President and Executive Director in shaping organizational goals and executing strategic initiatives. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and effectively, fulfilling its mission to combat racial discrimination and promote justice.

As the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives and drive sustainable growth.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to create comprehensive budgets and long-term financial plans for review and approval.
  • Enhancing operational productivity by fostering an inclusive workplace culture that empowers team members to excel.
  • Translating strategic vision into actionable plans, overseeing business planning, performance management, and operational execution.
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks through data analysis and policy development that supports the organization's culture and vision.
  • Reviewing departmental objectives and staffing plans across Finance, HR, IT, and Operations & Administration.
  • Leading a diverse team, including directors and managers across various functions, to achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to prioritize, delegate, and invest in human capital and systems.
  • Proven experience in operational leadership, particularly within a non-profit environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
