Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily check runs for Payroll and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Communicate effectively with campus departments, collection agencies, and government agencies to resolve account discrepancies.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Federal Regulations and University policy to collect student accounts and third-party receivables.
  • Process accounts receivable billings, including third-party contracts and campus departments, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain professional written and verbal correspondence with borrowers, and confidential documentation of collection activities.
Requirements
  • Combination of an associate degree in accounting or business-related field with two years of accounts receivable experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and handle diverse situations with ease.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and office procedures, with effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting or business-related field.
  • Two years of accounting experience in a higher education environment, with knowledge of effective collection techniques and applicable collection/credit laws.
  • Banner experience is a plus.
