Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the escrow process from initiation to completion.
  • Prepare Closing Disclosures and/or ATLA Settlement Statements in accordance with client specifications and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of essential documents such as surveys, purchase agreements, preliminary title reports, and loan documents.
  • Efficiently open pipeline files and order necessary documentation, including HOA and Tax Certifications.
  • Collaborate with the title department to resolve any title issues by securing appropriate lien releases.
  • Manage a substantial pipeline while ensuring timely communication with builders, buyers, lenders, and real estate agents.
  • Prepare and verify the accuracy of title and escrow documents for closings.
  • Maintain fluency in standard terminology used within the title industry.
  • Collect and manage all taxes and HOA dues related to the property purchase.
  • Complete the closing and funding process, including obtaining funding numbers and disbursing funds accurately.
  • File recordable documents through e-recording and facilitate title policy preparation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing a builder account and handling all aspects of escrow and closings.
  • Familiarity with title industry software; experience with SoftPro is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and sustaining positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as an Escrow Officer, preferably in a builder setting.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Active Notary Public certification is required.
  • Title or Escrow License, if mandated by state regulations, is preferred.
