JOB SUMMARY:

The Retail Sales Representative is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service, preparing donations for display, and assisting with transactions. This position also includes cashier responsibilities and requires adherence to cash handling protocols. Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers by providing exemplary service throughout their shopping experience
  • Manage the cash register in accordance with cash handling guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and inviting sales floor for customers
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels at the front of the store
  • Prepare donated items by sorting, pricing, tagging, and arranging them for display
  • Monitor merchandise quality and identify items for disposal
  • Comply with safety and housekeeping standards
  • Exhibit a professional and adaptable attitude by willingly undertaking various job tasks
  • Promote Goodwill's mission and values
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in retail, cash handling, or customer service is beneficial

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 pounds. Standing for extended periods, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling may be required. Ability to communicate and hear regularly. Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling objects is necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to moving machinery, wet/humid conditions, airborne particles, and outdoor weather may occur. Noise levels are generally moderate.
