Multidisciplined Nuclear Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplined Engineer to support our ongoing efforts in the design, production, testing, and delivery of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Simulator Engineering (PSE) unit. This is a multi-site position, with opportunities to work at either the Bettis Site (PA) or the Kesselring Site (NY).
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and conduct independent work efforts throughout the project lifecycle
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met
- Perform design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers
- Review and disposition Supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements
- Support on-site hardware inspections and testing of production equipment at Supplier facilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or
- Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or
- Qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or
- Currently or previously CRE qualified; or
- 6 years as SRE; or
- SRE qualified and 9 years of experience
- Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
- Experience evaluating, and creating, designs against approved technical requirements
- Experience working with external Suppliers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to think creatively and to proactively make recommendations to management
- Comfortable working independently or in a group setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
