Job DescriptionThe Training Simulator Testing unit is responsible for deploying state-of-the-art, high-fidelity simulators for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. As a Principal Multidisciplined Engineer, you will support aspects of initial design, testing, and deployment of the simulators to the NNPP training commands in Charleston, SC and West Milton, NY.
Key Responsibilities- Support the design, testing, and deployment of simulators for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
- Collaborate with other engineers and external organizations to ensure effective and efficient qualification of Naval Nuclear Operators
- Relocate to Charleston, SC or West Milton, NY for the position
- Travel up to 10% for work-related activities
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
- Or Bachelor's degree in a technical-related field from an accredited college or university with qualification as a Naval Nuclear Plant Operator and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
- Or Master's degree in engineering or a science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Or Master's degree in a technical-related field from an accredited college or university with qualification as a Naval Nuclear Plant Operator and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting a shipboard or simulator test program
- S9G mechanic experience or comparable experience
