Job Title: Adult Protective Services Specialist

About the Role:

The Adult Protective Services Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of older adults and adults with disabilities. As a member of our team, you will investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and work collaboratively with community organizations to provide support and resources to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support and protect vulnerable adults
  • Collaborate with community organizations to provide resources and services to adults in need
  • Communicate effectively with adults, families, and community partners to ensure the best possible outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in human service programs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with seniors or people with disabilities
  • Experience with adult protective services
  • Medical knowledge, such as certification as an RN
