Job Summary

The Staff Services Analyst is a key member of the Administration Division at the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA). In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for performing complex and difficult transaction duties in various personnel transaction areas, applying applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policies with careful attention to detail.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of personnel transaction duties, including processing payroll, benefits, and other personnel-related tasks.
  • Apply laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in all transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of transactions and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must be able to satisfy one of the following requirements:



  • Be list eligible and complete the competitive State civil service exam.
  • Be transfer eligible and have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.
  • Be reinstatement eligible and have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.

Working Conditions

CalHFA is a high-rise building located in downtown Sacramento with access to public transportation and amenities. The incumbent will be required to work a hybrid schedule with a combination of in-person and remote work.
