About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Airframe Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance on assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, repair, modify, and troubleshoot aircraft, components, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other employees as needed.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft, including the repair of airframe components, hydraulic components, preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance discrepancies.
  • Supervise the jacking of aircraft, enter maintenance records, and verify work performed satisfactorily.
  • May specialize in work, repair, and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention.
  • Personnel shall be qualified according to their field of expertise and the level of maintenance assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Must have valid State Driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have recent F/18A-F, EA-18G, or F-16A-D aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal/Specialized Training or Equivalent.
  • Hazardous Waste Communication Training.
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Trained.
  • Security Clearance Awareness Training.
  • COMNAVAIRFORINST Program Awareness.
  • ISO Program Awareness.
  • NALCOMIS/OOMA Trained.
  • ESD Trained.
  • Support Equipment Operator's License (Tow Tractor, N2 Servicing Trailer and Mobile Start Unit at a minimum).
  • Collateral Duty Inspector (in 2 T/M/S aircraft).
  • Egress System Checkout.
  • Non-Nuclear Ordnance Explosive Handling Certified.
  • Plane Captain Qualified.
  • Aircraft Towing Certified.
  • Aircraft Brake Rider Certified.
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training.
  • Fuel Surveillance Trained, Engine Run (1 T/M/S minimum).
