Job Overview:

Vali Incorporated is on the lookout for a proficient Avionics Specialist to enhance our team, providing Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Support to the United States Navy. The ideal candidate will engage in organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance on a variety of aircraft, components, and systems. Utilizing advanced technical expertise, you will tackle intricate challenges, offer technical direction, and uphold the utmost standards of aircraft maintenance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance activities, including inspection, operational testing, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of assigned aircraft and components.
  • Leverage advanced technical knowledge to diagnose and rectify complex issues related to avionics and electrical systems, communication/navigation systems, and electronic flight controls.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of weapon systems, including RADAR systems and Electronic Counter Measures.
  • Provide technical support and effective communication during aircrew debriefings to ensure comprehensive understanding and resolution of issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical directives, and safety manuals to guarantee adherence to maintenance protocols and standards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks in diverse environments, including hangars and flight lines, adapting to various physical demands associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • Lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds and demonstrate special vision capabilities, including close vision and depth perception.
  • Follow safety protocols while working in environments with potential hazards such as high noise levels and airborne particles.
  • Maintain necessary qualifications, certifications, and licenses as mandated by the company and government regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience in aircraft maintenance within the last eight years, with a minimum of two years in military or government aviation maintenance.
  • Experience with specific aircraft maintenance.
  • Proficiency in corrosion detection and treatment.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain required qualifications and clearances.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent experience with specific aircraft types.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics applications.
  • Familiarity with maintenance manuals and special tools.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems' operational capabilities and limitations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corrosion detection and prevention.
  • Customer-focused approach to maintenance services.
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
  • Formal or specialized training.
  • Hazardous Waste Communication Training.
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Training.
  • Security Clearance Awareness Training.
  • ISO Program Awareness.
  • NALCOMIS Training.
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training.
