Job Title: Grants Manager

At JVS Boston, we are seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join our Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating compelling grant proposals and related materials that support our strategic fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage all institutional development materials, including letters of intent, proposals, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with programmatic staff to collect internal narratives and shape them to meet proposal requirements and strategy.
  • Coordinate data collection from the JVS data team and budgets from the JVS finance team to complete proposals and reports.
  • Research and write grant concept papers, letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports.
  • Manage freelance grant writers to assist with funder proposals and reports as needed.
  • Research foundation, corporate, and government initiatives to identify prospective funding sources aligned with JVS's work.
  • Write grant award acknowledgment letters and track payments with the JVS finance team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least three years of professional grant writing or grant management experience, or related work in a non-profit.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for writing and communicating.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of standard written English, including correct grammar and spelling.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of budgets as they relate to grants.
  • Ability to work professionally under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
