Job Title: Grants Financial Specialist

Job Summary

The Grants Financial Specialist will play a critical role in the Municipal Collaboration Department, overseeing the financial aspects of various state and federal grants. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor grant budgets and ensure compliance with grant guidelines and regulations.
  • Draft contracts and purchase orders, and review vendor invoices and reimbursement requests for accuracy.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to support grant management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Municipal Collaboration Department's Director to ensure effective grant management and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills, including working with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe.
