About the Role
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a key member of our healthcare team at MultiCare Health System, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process patient specimens for testing
- Determine the suitability of specimens for testing and reject any that are not suitable
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate test results
- Analyze and interpret test results to help diagnose and treat patients
Requirements
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or registry eligibility
- Minimum one year of previous laboratory experience preferred
