Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying equipment, tooling, and process specifications to produce high-quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Implementation: Support the successful implementation of new projects, engineering, and process changes to ensure quality and delivery of products while maintaining cost competitiveness.
  • Project Leadership: Lead respective projects, including cost and milestone control.
  • Equipment Setup and Tear-Down: Plan the set-up and tear-down of production equipment.
  • Performance Description: Create performance descriptions for equipment.
  • Purchasing: Obtain offers for equipment and parts to purchase.
  • Process Data Analysis: Collect and analyze process data by coordinating efforts of production and quality for effective problem solving and process optimization.
  • Process Troubleshooting: Provide floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Manufacturing Process Development: Develop, revise, and document manufacturing processes to meet cost, quality, scrap, labor, and safety goals.
  • Customer Product Reviews: Implement customer product reviews by providing prototypes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Safety Procedures: Enforce and follow safety procedures, being attentive to unsafe behaviors or conditions, and taking necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Experience in welding and stamping processes.
  • Certification: IATF certification highly preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Logical Thinking: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Software Knowledge: Knowledge of Database software, Project Management software, Manufacturing software, CMMS Software (Plex preferred), Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • High-Pressure Environment: Ability to function in a high-pressure environment and to meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks.
