Position Summary:

The Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing processes to guarantee the efficient and safe production of premium products. This position requires a thorough analysis of existing processes, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and executing solutions that align with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaboration with various teams is essential to elevate operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and product quality while minimizing silica dust and emissions.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Analyze production metrics to uncover opportunities for process enhancement and cost savings.
  • Contribute to product and process development teams, offering insights on new control methods and technologies.
  • Recommend and implement suitable manufacturing concepts and processes.
  • Assist in determining equipment needs and specialized tooling for new product launches.
  • Oversee the implementation and coordination of tooling revisions based on customer or product specifications.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to facilitate process improvements.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to various teams as required.
  • Engage in projects and assignments collaboratively with engineering, production, and environmental health and safety (EHS) teams.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and research to evaluate potential impacts on job areas.
  • Regularly inspect and audit processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of pertinent experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are advantageous.

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of technical, process, and business principles, along with industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment:

Exposure to conditions typical of a high-traffic production floor, including noise and moving mechanical parts. The role may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing personal protective equipment.
