Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technologist II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist anesthesia providers with equipment preparation and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of anesthesia care.
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and department policies.
  • Provide support and assistance to patients and healthcare teams, promoting population-based care, continuity of care, and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in creating a high-performance culture based on joint decision-making processes.
  • Assist with regional blocks and lines as requested, and perform other specific tasks assigned by anesthesia personnel.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technician within 3 months of hire or American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technologist within 3 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two to three years of anesthesia tech experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Basic hygiene concepts.
  • Good body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
  • Independent worker able to prioritize activities and work quickly, self-motivated.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sterile technique.
  • Good listening skills.
