Key Responsibilities:- Assist anesthesia providers with equipment preparation and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of anesthesia care.
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and department policies.
- Provide support and assistance to patients and healthcare teams, promoting population-based care, continuity of care, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in creating a high-performance culture based on joint decision-making processes.
- Assist with regional blocks and lines as requested, and perform other specific tasks assigned by anesthesia personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
- American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technician within 3 months of hire or American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technologist within 3 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- Two to three years of anesthesia tech experience.
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Basic hygiene concepts.
- Good body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
- Independent worker able to prioritize activities and work quickly, self-motivated.
- Knowledge and understanding of sterile technique.
- Good listening skills.
