Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including vascular and breast screening, to obtain high-quality images and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to ensure optimal scan quality, using immobilization techniques as needed.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies, suggesting technical factors and equipment as needed.
  • Work independently to perform basic ultrasound exams and act as lead technologist in the absence of senior staff.
  • Obtain patient history to ensure the radiologist has pertinent information for film interpretation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes for each procedure performed.
  • Maintain positive guest relations with patients, fellow associates, and other personnel encountered during daily activities.
  • Comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.
  • Document department records, including inventories of supplies and patient statistics, to ensure adequate supplies and proper patient records.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registered
  • 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Knowledge and ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures offered at HTMP, including vascular studies
  • High degree of technical knowledge to perform basic ultrasound studies with minimal assistance
  • Effective communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including late shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
