About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist II PRN to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct patient identification and verification of procedures.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of surgeons, providing exceptional support and care.
  • Count and verify sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating RN, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized patient care environment.
Requirements
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in surgical technology or a related field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
