Job Summary:

As an Anesthesia Tech II at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless anesthesia services, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring timely availability for procedures.
  • Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Participate in creating a high-performance culture, promoting population-based care, continuity of care, customer satisfaction, and self-care.
  • Develop strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a caring, courteous, flexible, supportive, respectful, open-minded, and appreciative attitude.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on equipment, respirators, laryngoscopes, and blood pressure cuffs.
  • Handle and dispose of contaminated equipment according to established protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education, promoting age-specific and culturally sensitive care across the surgical continuum.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technician within 3 months of hire or American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians - Technologist within 3 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) - three (3) years of anesthesia tech experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Basic hygiene concepts.
  • Good body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
  • Independent worker able to prioritize activities and work quickly, self-motivated.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sterile technique.
  • Good listening skills.
