Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Representative to join our team. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with component manufacturing customers. Your goal will be to promote Simpson's ICS (Integrated Component Systems) software suite and related hardware products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and qualify sales opportunities through networking, tradeshows, industry events, field visits, telephone, and e-mail contact to achieve company business objectives.
  • Support customer building technology and component-related hardware products.
  • Introduce potential customers to Component Solutions Software by conducting sales-oriented software demonstrations.
  • Empower existing ICS customers by providing sales and technical support to ensure they are utilizing the software to its greatest capability.
  • Communicate customer needs and challenges to various teams and product managers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or Engineering Design/Drafting Diploma preferred.
  • 7 years of experience related to the design and engineering of prefabricated metal plate connected wood trusses and EWP.
  • Understanding of wood-framed construction practices, details, building codes, and design standards.
  • Math: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Reading Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret construction documents, including architectural and structural drawings.
  • Speaking: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, coworkers, and the general public.
  • Writing: Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Computer/Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience with AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, Simpson Strong-Tie software, and web applications.

This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites, and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.

Travel

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time.

Work Status and Location

This full-time, exempt position is located in Riverside, CA.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$76,300 - $109,100 / Year
