We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Administrative Manager to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for the fiscal, administrative, and operational management of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage budgets, grants, and financial plans to ensure the division's financial sustainability.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative, personnel, and financial operations of the division, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Represent the division and division director in meetings with department, institution, and professional organizations.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the division's clinical, research, and teaching activities function in a cohesive and synergistic manner.
  • Manage payroll operations, including non-routine annual and special increases, promotions, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with public relations to establish endowments, discretionary, and general funds accounts.
  • Oversee a division/functional unit of 51 personnel, including 17 faculty members, 2 NPs, 2 RNs, SW, 4 fellows, and various other staff.
  • Oversee capital purchases for pediatric cardiology, including shopping carts, check requests, and reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with Johns Hopkins University and hospital policies.
  • Report directly to the Division Director and Department of Pediatrics Associate Administrator.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field may substitute for required experience and additional experience may substitute for education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
  • Five years progressively responsible professional-level administrative or financial experience related to monetary or non-monetary resources of a department, center, or unit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and at least five (5) years related experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital and/or university department budget administration preferred.
  • Experience with organizational development and change management preferred.
  • The successful candidate must have outstanding oral and written communication skills, background in financial management, including spreadsheets development and analysis.

Starting Salary Range: $73, $128, $100,000. Targeted. Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Location:Hybrid/ SOM East Baltimore Campus (On-site 3-4 days)
