Job Overview

Lane Office, a leading office furniture dealer and interior construction sub-contracting firm based in New York, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the organization, this professional will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.


About the Role

This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in the contract furniture industry and a strong understanding of standard industry software. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.


Key Responsibilities
  • Project Implementation: Oversee project implementation and execution through completion of office build-out.
  • Project Scope Definition: Define project scope by working with clients and internal teams to establish project-specific goals that meet client needs and ensure project success.
  • Schedule Development: Develop a detailed project schedule based on product lead times and construction timelines.
  • Progress Tracking: Publish project schedules to external and internal teams and track progress on a weekly basis.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report variances from the schedule, then drive corrective actions to maintain a critical path.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Contract furniture industry experience required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of core and CAP systems preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience).
  • Bonus Eligibility: Bonus eligible.
