Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment (CAPC) team at Children's National Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide crisis counseling and psychoeducation to children and families affected by abuse and neglect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and assessment services to children and families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address trauma and promote healing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Conduct social histories and psychosocial assessments to inform treatment planning
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (LCSW or LICSW)
  • Experience working with children and families affected by trauma and abuse
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices
