Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Child Psych Specialist, PRN to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a key member of our psychiatric care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement nursing care plans for children and their families under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Develop and lead patient groups, implementing therapeutic milieu and individual treatment plans.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, rest, activity, and nourishment.
  • Administer educational services to children and adolescents hospitalized on the inpatient psychiatric unit.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum one to six months of experience working with children in a healthcare or educational setting.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification.
