Path Construction is in search of talented recent graduates to become part of our team. We are a dynamic commercial general contractor with a presence across various regions, engaging in diverse projects nationwide.

The role of a Project Engineer encompasses overseeing daily operations of subcontractors and suppliers, managing contracts, procurement processes, estimating costs, handling pay requests, change orders, and requests for information, as well as ensuring cost control and scheduling. Maintaining a high standard of quality is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess internship experience in construction management, having worked on projects of varying scales and types, including but not limited to: Higher Education, Retail, Multi-family, Healthcare, and more. We seek individuals with strong technical capabilities, effective communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer General Contracts and Subcontracts
  • Ensure jobsite safety and accident prevention
  • Develop and manage Construction Schedules
  • Procure and expedite Materials & Equipment
  • Process Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Review and log Shop drawings and submittals
  • Conduct project cost reviews and maintain accounting
  • Evaluate subcontractor payment applications
  • Document project coordination meetings
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor installations
  • Negotiate change proposal pricing with subcontractors
  • Prepare and document change proposals
  • Maintain change order documentation and cost reporting
  • Research construction methods and equipment options
  • Implement quality control measures
  • Facilitate Project Closeout processes
  • Enforce applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in building and construction management internships
  • Familiarity with OSHA Site Safety regulations
  • Proficient in modern technology and possess excellent communication skills
  • General understanding of construction principles and practices
  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Knowledge of project management processes and software (Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with public works projects
  • Estimating experience is advantageous
  • Experience in self-performed work is a plus
  • Completion of OSHA 30 Hour Training
  • Experience with LEED projects
