Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director, Business Development Opportunities to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging existing relationships and industry connections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track and manage sales activities, pipeline development, and customer relationships.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Saddle Creek Logistics Services and build business relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and sales materials to support business development efforts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related major).
  • At least five years of experience in a consultative sales role within the 3PL industry.
  • Strong track record of closing sales, working accounts, and achieving sales goals.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Operations experience in one or more of the following environments: 3PL, retail, distribution center, or manufacturing is a plus.
