Job Title: Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders.

Job Summary:

The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist will provide peer support services to individuals in recovery, promoting a supportive and non-judgmental environment. You will work closely with clients to identify their strengths, goals, and challenges, and develop a personalized recovery plan to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support services to individuals in recovery, including one-on-one support, group support, and community-based services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including regular check-ins, goal setting, and progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, case managers, and medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in peer support and recovery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of recovery plans, including setting goals, identifying resources, and developing strategies for success.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in crisis, including emergency situations and suicidal ideation.
  • Document client progress, including notes, goals, and outcomes, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRSS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of substance use disorder treatment or recovery support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of recovery support services, including peer support, case management, and counseling.
  • Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to use electronic health records and other software applications.
Work Schedule:

The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist will work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs and agency requirements.
