Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:


We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Accounting & Grants Manager to become an integral part of our vibrant team within the Non-Profit sector.

The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of grant management, including billing, invoicing, collections, budget assistance, and account reconciliation.

Core Duties:

  • Manage and supervise the complete grants lifecycle, including administration and reporting of government grants.
  • Oversee all billing, invoicing, and collections processes to guarantee timely and precise revenue recognition.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to formulate financial strategies and plans.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to senior leadership to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial management systems and processes.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA) is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a specialization in grants management, billing, invoicing, collections, budget preparation, and account reconciliation.
  • Prior experience in the Non-Profit sector is highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
