Job Summary

We're looking for an Energy Industry Expert to join our Industry Analytics team. As an Energy Industry Expert, you'll be responsible for leveraging your deep understanding of the local energy market to detect issues and solve key problems for our clients and end consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your expertise in the energy industry to identify problems and take ownership of them, from carrying out root cause analysis to seeing through to resolution.
  • Provide support in resolving errors and bugs in industry messages.
  • Monitor the success of our industry products to proactively spot and resolve issues quickly to protect end consumer experiences.
  • Scope out compliance needs and changes and implement them alongside our Tech team.
  • Liaise with our Tech, Product, and clients to identify new features in our products that need to be built or enhanced.
  • Gather requirements, define approaches, and help write pitch documents so developers can hit the ground running with new projects.
  • Help prioritize work that champions building purposeful, valuable solutions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, including our monitoring and alerting suite.
  • Create frameworks and documentation to enable self-serve in the business.
Requirements
  • Expertise in the energy industry of your local market, with a focus on the supplier perspective.
  • An eye for detail, to support in spotting and helping resolve errors and bugs.
  • Curiosity and a passion for problem-solving.
  • A data-driven and outcome-focused approach.
  • A keen desire to make things better and identify opportunities for improvement through automation.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and define problems.
  • Project management skills, including strong organization and time management.
  • A love of learning across subject areas.
  • Ability to work from our downtown Houston office location.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data skills or analytics experience.
  • Data visualization and dashboarding.
  • Ability to read and write basic SQL.
