Role Overview

The Corporate Account Executive serves as the primary strategic planner for key accounts. This role ensures alignment among various sales functions and stakeholders within RELX, facilitating the execution of strategic account and engagement plans. You will collaborate with other sales professionals to maximize business opportunities within your accounts. Reporting to the Regional Account Director, this role is remote and involves travel to client locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with Solution Sales Managers and Customer Consultants to drive new sales and ensure clients derive maximum value from our offerings.
2. Foster customer loyalty and satisfaction by becoming an expert on client needs, strategies, and competitive landscapes.
3. Engage in prospecting and new account acquisition, contributing significantly to the growth of RELX in your designated territory.
4. Meet or exceed annual revenue objectives while driving long-term growth.
5. Communicate the value of RELX content and services to various stakeholders, including project managers and researchers.
6. Lead complex negotiations, navigating potential challenges and ensuring positive outcomes.
7. Interact with diverse stakeholders within accounts to enhance the perception of RELX's core offerings.
8. Gain a comprehensive understanding of our products, including ScienceDirect Journals, Scopus, and Engineering Village.

Qualifications

- Proven experience engaging with corporate clients and selling complex solutions at the executive level.
- Expertise in managing intricate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with enterprise software or web-based tools is advantageous.
- Educational background in Account Management or a related field, with experience in managing large, complex accounts.
- Experience in an international organizational structure is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct strategic needs analysis and employ a consultative selling approach.
