Hospital Business Development

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify potential admissions into the system.
  • Manage referrals and admissions generated through assigned hospitals and territories, representing the hospital with professionalism to referral sources.
  • Design and manage marketing strategies for assigned hospitals.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with referral sources through one-on-one contacts and educational opportunities.
  • Identify, contact, and manage potential clients, sourcing appropriate patients for hospital admission.
  • Coordinate transmission of clinical and benefit information to patients, families, and outside agencies.
  • Act as liaison for outside agencies, non-plan facilities, and outside providers, performing 80% or more of work outside the hospital.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clinical license preferred; Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), Respiratory Therapist (RT).
  • Minimum two (2) years of former healthcare sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive healthcare sales work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Formal sales training preferred.
