The Behavioral Health Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services within the correctional setting. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising behavioral health programs that meet the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and Accreditation Council for Healthcare (ACA) standards.

As a key member of the VitalCore Health Strategies team, the Behavioral Health Coordinator will work closely with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinate total contract services. This includes acting as a point of contact for administrative staff, coordinating policy development and revision, and providing clinical and administrative supervision to staff.

The Behavioral Health Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the efforts of behavioral health services to ensure timely and professional delivery of clinical services. This includes providing and assigning clinical on-call duties, ensuring treatment programs are integrated and staffed appropriately, and providing administrative support to psychiatric staff.

  • Develop, implement, and supervise behavioral health programs
  • Coordinate policy development and revision
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff
  • Monitor the delivery of clinical services
  • Provide administrative support to psychiatric staff

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or master's degree in psychology or related field
  • Fully licensed (or license eligible) to practice psychology or social work in Ohio
  • Satisfactory background investigation report
