Sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our Round Rock, TX team and work closely with our Business Development Managers to explain the benefits of our products and services to potential customers.
As a member of our FSG Smart Buildings Engineering and Sales Teams, you will:
- Communicate with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Help clients solve problems with installed equipment.
- Contribute to researching and developing new products.
- Perform a similar function as Account Management, establishing customer rapport and acceptance with a technical focus.
- Work with all operations to deliver maximum customer retention, revenue, and net profit.
- Research and report on competitive market data.
- Maintain FSG internal CRM and engage with the latest opportunities.
Requirements include:
- Strong relationship-building and strategic selling skills.
- Strong equipment/technical BAS/HVAC understanding.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs & Google Slides, or the Microsoft equivalent.
- Travel and stay overnight up to 25%, depending on the needs of the business.
- Minimum four years of Building Automation/Controls experience.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree (or similar field).
