About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Application Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen. As a Cloud Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing cloud-based solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities
  • Work with clients to inform strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the cloud migration process
  • Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
  • Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with using cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services
  • 5+ years of experience with using Python or R
  • Experience with designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services and using tools, including EC2, S3, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions
  • Experience with DevOps and implementing and managing continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Experience with CloudTrail Logging, Encryption, and secure configurations
  • Experience in working with GitLab
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical clients and help scope work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
  • Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience with working at the DoD
  • Experience with application performance analysis and monitoring
  • Ability to automate AWS cloud operations using boto3 or AWS CLI
  • Ability to display a portfolio of relevant cloud projects or contributions to open-source projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Master's degree
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137, annualized USD.
