Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to join our team at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program, including coordinating logistics, working with multiple partners, and achieving program goals. This is a grant-funded position, and the successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Director, Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to ensure the successful delivery of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Manage all aspects of the program, including coordinating logistics, working with multiple partners, and achieving program goals.
- Outreach and Engagement: Lead outreach efforts to enroll new mentors and mentees, and facilitate mentor/mentee matches.
- Training and Development: Organize and implement training programs, including developing and planning workshops, recruiting instructors, and managing their workflow.
- Technical Assistance: Facilitate technical assistance to client companies, including marketing, accounting, and legal services, client linkages, and mentorship.
- Business Development: Assist client companies in gaining access to capital through loans, grants, and other funding sources.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop a marketing plan for the program, and promote the program to potential clients.
- Client Support: Assist clients with preparing MWBE certification applications for New York State.
- Program Evaluation: Work with the Assistant Director, Grant Writing and Management, to monitor and track participant progress on the training programs.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Support and collaborate with the Associate Director, Community Engagement and Initiatives, on outreach to various constituencies to increase participation in program activities.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain and update program client files and records, including intake/update forms, client surveys, and assessment forms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, business development, or a related field.
- Skills: Flexible schedule, ability to attend evening workshops and events, experience working with small businesses, and knowledge of the minority and women-owned business procurement process.
