Job Overview

Summit Interconnect, Inc. is seeking skilled Manufacturing Process Engineers to join our dynamic team. We specialize in advanced technology printed circuit boards, particularly focusing on intricate rigid and rigid-flex products with a strong emphasis on RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will be tasked with refining electronic data provided by clients to align with our manufacturing standards. This role involves editing customer-supplied data on a graphic interface, adjusting parameters such as line width, spacing, pad size, hole size, and copper edge plating to meet specific manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the company’s CAM system effectively to tool jobs using Genesis software.
  • Generate all necessary NC data for production.
  • Prepare data for the Engineering Technology department.
  • Review technical drawings and purchase orders meticulously.
  • Scale and produce Drill and Rout programs as needed.
  • Provide scaled Artwork for plotting upon request.
  • Output LDI data accurately.
  • Create tools for the manufacturing floor according to Summit standards.
  • Panelize edited data into production panels and incorporate coupons.

Authority:

  • Tool jobs as required.
  • Verify customer drawings related to tooling.
  • Safely modify customer data when necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to research and innovate new CAM processes.
  • Proficiency in rigid, flex, rigid/flex, and sequential lamination designs.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with customers and team members.
  • Adherence to company systems and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the printed circuit board industry, including two (2) years as a Manufacturing Process Engineer utilizing Genesis software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
