Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a proactive and meticulous individual to take on the role of Accounting Manager within our thriving manufacturing sector. This pivotal position will manage all dimensions of financial oversight, including corporate accounting, compliance reporting, budget formulation, and the establishment of internal control measures.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in manufacturing finance, particularly in understanding cost of goods sold (COGS), general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, month-end closing procedures, and bill of materials (BOM).


Key Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, your duties will include:

  • Leading the accounting department operations, including structuring the team to meet departmental objectives.
  • Overseeing all aspects of manufacturing accounting, including COGS, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing activities.
  • Preparing and delivering financial reports, including monthly and annual summaries, promptly.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Coordinating the preparation of regulatory financial reports.
  • Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Managing compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure precise and timely recording of all costs.
  • Analyzing operational trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Accounting Manager position, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing accounting role or similar position.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including COGS, general ledger operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing.
  • Experience in generating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and administration.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple initiatives.
