Position: Accounting Manager/Assistant Manager


About Our Client:
Cesna is a clinical-stage biotechnology firm dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative small-molecule therapies aimed at addressing significant patient needs.

Utilizing our proprietary G-SMARTTM platform, we focus on the discovery and optimization of rare sequences in protein kinases, enabling the development of highly selective compounds.


Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Accounting Manager or Associate Accounting Manager to oversee a variety of accounting and tax-related functions. This role offers the potential for increased responsibilities and career advancement as the organization expands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Regularly reconcile the general ledger with each account's statements.
  • Assist in quarterly book closing and prepare financial statements.
  • Support the audit process and prepare quarterly financial reports.
  • Make journal or ledger entries as required.
  • Establish and uphold proper accounting practices and policies to ensure compliance with all obligations.
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments and accounting, facilitating communication with external parties such as clients, suppliers, and banks.
  • Manage federal and state tax return schedules in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review tax returns prepared by external accountants to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate tax-related issues to identify solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of IPO and listing procedures on the KOSDAQ Market.
  • Support Korean SEC reporting requirements.
  • Engage in special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; concentrations in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
  • Years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Skills & Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, K-IFRS, and K-SOX experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly QuickBooks (minimum 3 years experience) and MS Office.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially in multitasking environments.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Korean and English.
