Position Overview:
We are currently in search of a Compliance Specialist.

This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to Low-Income Housing HUD/Tax Credit regulations by supervising programs, policies, and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with on-site and corporate personnel to guarantee compliance with housing program regulations.
- Travel may be required based on business needs.
- Conduct various audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Provide administrative assistance, including prompt data entry into compliance reporting systems, documentation, and ongoing file management.
- Process commissions related to move-ins and re-certifications.
- Liaise directly with Local Housing Authority and State Agency representatives regarding compliance matters, inspections, and successful completion of annual audits.
- Assist in the execution of all Mass Recertifications, Re-syndication, Lease-ups, and Acquisitions.
- Review and verify the accuracy of data entered into property management software.
- Ensure the appropriate allocation of 60/50% Tax Credit, Bond, and RDA units for each property.
- Follow up to obtain all Utility Allowances and income/rent limits from local authorities.

Qualifications:
- Experience in compliance processing for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC or Section 42) certification paperwork.
- Proven background with other affordable housing programs such as HUD, Section 8, 202, and/or 811.
- Knowledgeable in processing LIHTC certification documentation.
- Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, properties, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Compensation:
Full-Time position with a pay range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.
