The Product Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that our Personal Lines and Commercial Lines policy documents are precise, compliant, and effectively produced, thereby supporting our company's objective of delivering competitive coverage products to our members. This position collaborates closely with various departments, including Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, Commercial, and Claims, to create forms, product manuals, product comparisons, and product communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance the company's product offerings, including forms, manuals, and member policy packages, to maintain competitiveness in the market.
  • Draft and prepare filings and responses to secure approval for form and rule submissions with the Department of Insurance (DOI) and Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR).
  • Conduct competitive analysis of primary competitors to identify areas for improvement.
  • Interpret insurance forms, statutes, rules, and regulations, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
  • Regularly analyze existing forms and manuals for effectiveness.
  • Research and evaluate external information sources to provide accurate competitive analysis, including rates, guidelines, and coverage information.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on product market trends to assist in shaping product strategy.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to ensure accuracy of enhancements and modifications to forms, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Independently manage projects and assignments, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to established department processes, quality control procedures, and checklists in all responsibilities.
  • Effectively manage multiple medium to large projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
  • Perform program audits as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with I-File and SERFF.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in interpreting insurance forms, statutes, rules, and regulations, along with conducting analysis and developing recommendations.
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Capacity to organize and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficient in various computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) and have three (3) or more years of experience in the Property Casualty or Commercial Lines sector, or a combination of education and experience. Insurance designations are advantageous.
