We are seeking a highly skilled Air Environmental Specialist to join our team at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in environmental air permitting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead air permitting efforts for small to large projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and implement permit conditions, working closely with regulatory agencies, technical services, and operations staff.
- Manage and oversee emissions testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Serve as a refinery regulatory subject matter expert, providing guidance on federal and state air compliance.
- Provide support for other environmental media, including water, waste, and remediation.
- Lead and oversee emissions reporting, ensuring timely submission to corporate and regulatory programs.
- Serve as an air advocacy team member, identifying and summarizing emerging air regulatory issues.
- Develop and submit reports to state and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track key compliance metrics, implementing systems to improve performance.
- Facilitate improvements to and maintain the site Environmental Management System.
- Develop and update environmental-related requirements and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent.
- 6 or more years of environmental air permitting experience, with a preference for experience with federal and Washington air regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills, and computer skills.
- The ability to achieve results through interaction with others.
- Refining or chemical industry experience.
- Environmental management experience.
