Job Summary: Island Health is seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst and Payroll Specialist to oversee the management and maintenance of our HR and Payroll information technology systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy, serving as the subject matter expert and system administrator for the UKG system, and developing and implementing HR and Payroll technology strategies and solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain HR and Payroll IS systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert and system administrator for the UKG system
  • Develop and implement HR and Payroll technology strategies and solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Oversee payroll operations, including processing and maintenance of payroll records
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new HR and Payroll technology initiatives
  • Provide training and support to departments on HRIS systems and payroll processes
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in HR and Payroll technology
  • Analyze and report on the data for HR and Payroll IS including the PMR data, serving as a resource for leadership

Requirements:
  • 3 - 5 years previous HRIS experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, business or related field preferred
  • Prior HRIS administration experience preferred. UKG Pro Preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and possess advanced Excel skills

Work Environment: The employee is exposed to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The employee may be exposed to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes and communicable diseases as related to a health care environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
