Role Summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Breast Oncology team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans, working within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physicians or specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with specialists to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans for medical conditions within your scope of practice.
  • Prescribe medications and perform minor surgical procedures as needed, within the scope of your practice.
  • Document patient care in accordance with medical staff rules, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
  • Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; breast oncology experience preferred.
