Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the MMG Breast Oncology Department, Surgical Oncology Clinic. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group and contribute to the advancement of our institutional mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with various medical problems, procedures, and co-morbidities.
  • Work within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).
  • Provide patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care.
  • Correlate subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
  • Formulate treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.
  • Prescribe oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
  • Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
  • Active BLS (must be AHA approved).
  • Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; field-specific experience preferred.
