Position: Project Manager - Education Specialist

The Project Manager - Education Specialist is responsible for overseeing K-12 and higher education initiatives in California, guiding teams to create innovative solutions for intricate challenges. This role involves critical responsibilities such as resource management, project scheduling, team leadership, and ensuring that deliverables align with the requirements set forth by educational institutions and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams, fostering an environment that encourages creative problem-solving to meet client expectations.
  • Manage diverse project teams, effectively utilizing individual strengths to drive project success.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory officials, ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, financial records, and schedules.
  • Implement company policies and performance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in drafting proposals and contracts with clients and consultants.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members across all levels.
  • Oversee project delivery from initial programming through to project completion.
  • Review and manage client billing and invoicing processes.
  • Identify potential new client leads in alignment with strategic growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on project staffing and resource allocation.
  • Support design staff through supervision, quality control, and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and control measures throughout all phases of assigned projects.
  • Conduct regular status updates with company leadership regarding project progress and staffing needs.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 7 years of proven experience in project and client leadership roles.
  • Specialized experience in California education design.
  • Demonstrated success in leading project teams and surpassing client expectations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project delivery from inception to completion.
  • Preferred candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Current architectural licensure in California and NCARB certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building materials, and construction regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities.
