As a key member of our team, we are seeking a Healthcare Receptionist. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday and involves various responsibilities essential to the smooth functioning of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls from patients.
- Monitor and respond to office voicemail and email communications.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and coordinating appointments with the appropriate personnel.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details, authorizations, and demographic data.
- Maintain accurate patient records by collecting and recording personal and financial information.
- Process patient payments and charges.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality by ensuring the secure handling of personal and financial data.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required; some college education or a degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute; typing assessment required.
