Head of Risk Analytics and Loss Prevention

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Head of Risk Analytics and Loss Prevention to lead our Collection Analytics team. The successful candidate will establish a team of analysts dedicated to utilizing sophisticated analytics to pinpoint and address risks within our consumer finance operations. This role encompasses advanced portfolio analysis, knowledge of related markets and regulatory frameworks, the creation of targeted experiments, and the stewardship of several business strategies that significantly influence OneMain's financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the design and execution of advanced analytical models to uncover potential risks in our consumer finance operations.
  • Examine data from diverse sources to produce actionable insights and recommendations for enhancing loss prevention methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to formulate and implement loss prevention strategies that align with our corporate objectives.
  • Assess current processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of loss prevention initiatives.
  • Anticipate emerging risks and devise strategies to counter potential threats to our organization.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Engage with internal teams, including Compliance, Operations, and Finance, to ensure our loss prevention efforts are in line with company policies and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in loss prevention and analytics.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at the continuous enhancement and innovation of our loss prevention capabilities and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, or Computer Science).
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services, making informed risk decisions through analysis; advanced degrees may compensate for experience.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, focusing on team building and prioritizing objectives based on corporate strategy.
  • Proficient analytical skills utilizing tools such as SAS, SQL, R, and Python.
  • Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions to complex, data-driven challenges.
