Overview
The Room Service Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring guests receive their orders promptly and with exceptional service. This position involves taking orders, preparing them, and delivering items to guest rooms in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare workstations in anticipation of daily operations.
- Stock areas with necessary items such as china, glassware, linens, and coffee pots, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Set up and deliver VIP amenities to enhance guest experiences.
- Deliver all food and beverage orders in line with established Hilton standards and guidelines.
- Answer phone calls following company protocols.
- Operate the Point of Sale (P.O.S) system effectively.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while adhering to quality standards.
- Collect and manage soiled dishes and linens according to sanitation protocols.
- Conduct regular floor sweeps to retrieve food and beverage trays, maintaining cleanliness.
- Communicate with the kitchen and management regarding food quality and guest feedback.
- Prepare and replenish amenities as required.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of menus and current specials to effectively upsell items to guests.

Operational Duties
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including side-work duties as per assigned rotation.
- Handle cashiering tasks, including closing checks and preparing end-of-shift documentation.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures in compliance with Hilton policies.

Guest Service Excellence
- Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, fulfilling all food and beverage requests.
- Relay guest needs to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Manage guest complaints effectively, communicating issues to management as necessary.
- Strive for overall guest satisfaction through attentive service.

Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests and team members in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Effective listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet operational deadlines.
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain consistent attendance in line with Hilton standards, adapting to the hotel's scheduling needs.
- Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Hilton's operational standards and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate initiative by anticipating guest needs and operational requirements.
- Be open to cross-training in various hotel-related roles as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing over 35 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
